The Enrollment Management Department is seeking a student employee for the Admissions Processing Assistant student worker position for the Summer semester.
The Admissions Processing Assistant would be a significant ambassador of Southern Utah University that is responsible for the recruitment, admission processing, and mentoring of prospective and current graduate and online students. Admissions Processing Assistants will interact with students, staff, faculty, and administration at a high level of engagement in a professional office.
Much of the Admissions Processing Assistant’s time will be spent processing application materials and interacting with future SUU students by telephone, text, and email. Outreach and communication are outbound and inbound. Sales experience is helpful. Admissions Processing Assistants will be trained to work across several SUU systems including: Banner, CRM (Slate), Airtable, Google Drive, etc. Other recruitment and admission tasks may be assigned as necessary.
The position requires a minimum of 18-20 hours a week, optional additional hours per week may be available during the Summer semester. You may be required to work approximately up to 10 hours at recruitment events that are either after business hours during the week, or on Saturdays.
Our office is located off campus at 2460 UT-56 Suite B. Employees must provide their own transportation.
Qualifications:
- Customer service, sales, and/or CRM experience is preferred, but not required.
- Skills related to cold-calling are preferred.
- Strictly honor the privacy, security and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies and procedures
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and perform tasks independently.
- Ensure the highest degree of accuracy, and maintain strict guidelines to ensure compliance with university policy when reviewing, evaluating, and processing college admissions documentation.
- An ideal candidate would demonstrate adaptability, a good attitude, be a team player, and motivate others in the workplace.
